Skiathos: jet engine blast knocks down Italian tourist, causing serious head injury

A 52-year-old Italian tourist was seriously injured at Skiathos Alexandros Papadiamantis Airport in Greece after a blast of air from a jet engine preparing for take-off knocked her to the ground. She suffered a head injury and had to be urgently transported to the mainland for treatment. Skiathos airport is well known for its extremely low flight paths, which attract plane-spotting tourists.
