Shook Research founder paid fired Forbes editor $6 million for 'services and guidance'
RJ Shook, founder of Shook Research, has confirmed he paid Randall Lane, the former top editor at Forbes who was subsequently fired, $6 million for "services and guidance" in partnering with Forbes and later selling his research firm. The disclosed payment has raised questions about the nature of the business relationship between a major publisher's editor and a firm whose rankings Forbes published. Lane has since been dismissed from Forbes.
