Hackers hijacked over 14,500 Dahua cameras in a month-long operation

Between 17 June and 22 July 2026, unknown actors hijacked at least 14,530 Dahua IP cameras and other devices in an operation dubbed "CameraSwarm." The breach came to light after hacking tools and additional information were discovered on one of the servers used in the attacks, exposing the perpetrators' methods.
