EFL and Scottish league consider legal action over illegal broadcasts in Russia
The English Football League and Scottish Professional Football League have launched investigations after Russian subscription and streaming service Football TV broadcast their matches without rights this season. The service aired numerous EFL games from the opening two rounds, as well as Scottish Premiership matches featuring Celtic, Rangers and Hearts. Both leagues withdrew their Russian rights packages in 2022 and are now considering legal action against Football TV.
