Polish PEN Club praises Ukrainian writers and journalists defending freedom with words and arms
The Polish PEN Club has addressed its Ukrainian counterpart with a letter expressing "the deepest respect and admiration" for Ukrainian writers, translators, journalists and scholars. It highlighted that many of them have exchanged the pen for a rifle, daily proving that "an independent word is the foundation of a free society." The letter represents a gesture of solidarity from Poland's literary community with Ukraine.
