Polish Olympic Committee chief accepted €40,000 watch from crypto sponsor

Radosław Piesiewicz, head of the Polish Olympic Committee, received a watch worth €40,000 from the CEO of a cryptocurrency exchange — five weeks after appointing that exchange as the main sponsor of the Polish Olympic team. In a message to the donor, Piesiewicz wrote: "I'm in shock, thank you." The opinion piece argues there is no version of events that exonerates him.
