530 objections filed to Polish doctors' pay bill — residents call it "a sledgehammer to crack a nut"
Poland's Ministry of Health received 530 objections to a draft law on maximum doctors' salaries and maximum working hours in healthcare, submitted by 92 institutions. Sebastian Goncerz of the Residents' Agreement criticised the bill, calling it "firing a cannon at a sparrow." The consultation process has revealed broad opposition from the medical community to the proposed regulations.
