European leaders join Zelensky in Kyiv for Ukraine's Independence Day celebrations

European leaders gathered in Kyiv on 24 August to mark Ukraine's Independence Day alongside President Volodymyr Zelensky. Among those present was new UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham, on his first overseas trip since taking office in July. Ukraine celebrated its independence amid Russia's ongoing four-year invasion.
