CosmoCube satellite will orbit the Moon to probe the universe's "cosmic dark ages"
CosmoCube, a briefcase-sized satellite developed by a team led by the University of Cambridge, is set to be placed in lunar orbit. Its mission is to detect extremely faint radio signals from the period before the first stars were born — the so-called cosmic dark ages. The findings could help scientists shed light on one of the least understood eras in the history of the universe.
