China exports products it bans domestically, Jamestown Foundation report finds

Analysts at the US Jamestown Foundation have published a report alleging that Chinese authorities systematically allow the export of products whose sale or use is restricted or banned domestically. The four areas identified are fentanyl precursors, flavoured e-cigarettes, children's hazardous products and Chinese AI language models. The report highlights a systemic gap between China's domestic regulations and its export practices.
