US companies are getting tariff refunds — but consumers may not see a cent

Some US companies have begun receiving refunds on tariffs they overpaid following the introduction of new American trade duties. While some firms are passing the money back to customers, others are keeping it. Consumers who paid inflated prices as a result of the tariffs have no guarantee of getting any money back.
