MPC member Kotecki: Poland should cut spending, not raise taxes, to consolidate finances
Monetary Policy Council member Ludwik Kotecki said on TOK FM radio that fiscal consolidation in Poland should be driven primarily by spending cuts. He pointed out that Poland ranks among the EU's top spenders in terms of public expenditure relative to GDP. Kotecki is awaiting the government's draft budget to assess the direction of fiscal policy.
