Driver mounts pavement in Kraków, killing young married couple

On 22 August in Kraków, a 26-year-old driver mounted a pavement and killed a young married couple. Their eight-month-old daughter was hospitalised in critical condition. According to an expert, the probable cause was excessive speed — the driver reportedly floored the accelerator. The case has shocked the entire country.
