Investigation launched into spying on 12 journalists with Hermes system
An investigation has been launched into former head of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Lublin, Jerzy Ziarkiewicz, over allegations he abused his authority by ordering the use of the Hermes surveillance system against 12 journalists. Those reportedly targeted include prominent TV journalists Piotr Kraśko, Konrad Piasecki, Krzysztof Ziemiec and Maciej Kurzajewski. Investigators are examining whether the surveillance constituted an abuse of power.
