Zelensky rejects wartime elections as "huge risk" for Ukraine
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has rejected calls for wartime elections, describing the idea as "highly dangerous" and a "huge risk" for Ukraine. The response came after former Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov — fired by Zelensky last month — publicly called for a vote to be organised. Zelensky argued that holding elections during an active war would pose unacceptable risks to the country.
