Polish registries must transcribe same-sex marriage certificates — refusal breaks the law
Government equality commissioner Katarzyna Kotula announced on Sunday that civil registry offices are legally obliged to transcribe foreign same-sex marriage certificates. Any refusal will constitute a breach of the law. Kotula also warned she will monitor local authorities that refuse to carry out such transcriptions.
