Poland's NFZ faces 14 billion PLN deficit — head wants doctor pay caps
Poland's National Health Fund (NFZ) is facing a 14 billion PLN funding gap. NFZ head Filip Nowak proposed capping medical staff salaries as a remedy to prevent healthcare facilities from falling into a "spiral" of ever-rising wages. He argued that controlling salary costs would stabilise the financial health of hospitals and clinics.
