Iran reportedly invited to join new Saudi-Turkish-Pakistani defence alliance

Iran has reportedly been invited to join the Mecca Agreement, a new defence alliance between Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan, according to pro-government Iranian broadcaster Al Mayadeen, as cited by The Jerusalem Post. Neither the Iranian foreign ministry nor the signatory states have officially confirmed the reports.
