Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan sign Eternal Friendship Treaty and set $1bn trade target

Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Ilham Aliyev signed a Treaty on Eternal Friendship in Tashkent and launched new joint projects in banking, energy, tourism and mining. The two nations set a bilateral trade target of $1 billion and will strengthen Trans-Caspian transport links. They will also co-host the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2027.
