Weidel: AfD would pull Germany out of euro and Schengen

Alice Weidel, co-leader of the Alternative for Germany party, told ZDF television that if AfD came to power, Germany would exit the Schengen zone and abandon the euro. The party has been posting increasingly strong poll numbers ahead of upcoming elections. The declarations represent some of the most radical policy positions AfD has publicly stated.
