Weidel: AfD would pull Germany out of Schengen and drop the euro

AfD co-leader Alice Weidel said in a Sunday television interview that if her party takes power, Germany will withdraw from the Schengen Agreement and abandon the euro. The far-right party leads German polls by approximately eight percentage points. Weidel stressed that closing borders is meant to stop the kind of migration seen in Ceuta from reaching Germany.
