Kotula: officials who refuse to register same-sex marriages break the law

Poland's Minister for Equality Katarzyna Kotula has called on civil servants not to refuse the transcription of foreign same-sex marriage certificates, warning that doing so constitutes a breach of the law. The Government's Plenipotentiary for Equal Treatment announced that registry offices will be monitored for compliance. The appeal follows a significant legal change regarding the transcription of such documents in Poland.
