Over 1,900 fire brigade callouts after overnight storms — territorial army on standby

Polish firefighters responded to more than 1,900 callouts by 8:00 AM following a storm front that swept across the country overnight. The Masovian region recorded the highest number of incidents. Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced around 10:00 AM that Territorial Defence Force soldiers are on standby to support emergency services.
