20-year-old Brennan wins Vuelta stage two, Pogacar retains red jersey

Matt Brennan, a 20-year-old Briton competing in his first grand tour, won stage two of the Vuelta a España in a bunch sprint over 214.3 kilometres with over 3,000 metres of climbing from Monaco to Manosque, France. Pau Miquel finished second and overall favourite Tadej Pogacar came third, retaining the red leader's jersey. It is a breakthrough result for the young British rider.
