Russia withdraws ambassador from London, blaming UK for historic low in ties

Russia has recalled its ambassador to the United Kingdom, the Russian embassy announced. In its statement, Moscow said bilateral relations had reached an "unprecedentedly low level" and blamed Britain for the deterioration. Russia gave no indication of when or whether the ambassador would return to his post.
