Australian children will see gambling logos on sports jerseys until 2032 under transition rules

Australia's Albanese government has banned gambling company logos on sports jerseys but legislated a five-year transition period, meaning children could see the logos until 2032. Senator David Pocock and other critics have condemned the arrangement as "absurd." The government says it hopes clubs will end wagering deals sooner but calls it a commercial decision for the clubs themselves.
