Laptop catches fire on American Airlines flight to Dallas-Fort Worth

A laptop caught fire aboard an American Airlines flight approximately 30 minutes before landing at Dallas-Fort Worth Airport. Several passengers who attempted to help extinguish the flames suffered burns and required medical attention. The crew quickly brought the situation under control and the plane landed safely.
