Driver kills young couple on Kraków pavement — exceeded speed limit, prosecutor says

A 26-year-old Volkswagen driver exceeded the speed limit when he fatally struck a young couple on a pavement in Kraków, prosecutor Mariusz Boroń confirmed. The couple's infant is in critical condition. The driver, who had prior traffic offences on his record, is awaiting transfer to prosecutors and faces up to eight years in prison.
