USS Lincoln spent over 270 days at sea after Iranian attacks on US base forced remote resupply
The USS Abraham Lincoln spent more than 270 days at sea, far beyond a typical deployment, after Iranian attacks devastated a key US base in the Persian Gulf and forced the Navy to resupply the carrier from a distant island in the Indian Ocean. The prolonged deployment caused conditions on board to deteriorate significantly. The carrier is now heading home.
