Fajdek misses world record by half a metre in Chorzów — Katzberg wins

Paweł Fajdek came within half a metre of the hammer throw world record at the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial in Chorzów. Canada's Ethan Katzberg won the competition, beating European champion Bence Halasz, who had thrown 84.25 m in England. Fajdek had narrowly missed a European Championship bronze in Birmingham just a week and a half earlier, losing to Mykhailo Kokhan by 36 cm.
