Expert: Without civil defence, no amount of tanks will save Poland
Security expert Dr Michał Piekarski warns in an interview with Gazeta Wyborcza that Poland still fails to grasp the importance of civil defence. He stresses that in the first hours of any conflict, civilians must be able to fend for themselves — without that, even billions spent on tanks are useless. He points to Finland as a model of a well-prepared civilian population.
