Russians flee en masse ahead of expected post-election mobilisation

Russians are widely convinced that the Kremlin will announce a general mobilisation after September's parliamentary elections, and many are leaving the country rather than wait for call-up papers. This is the second major emigration wave since the autumn 2022 mobilisation. The exodus is accelerating as the election date approaches.
