Poland's central contracts register live — 21 billion zloty in spending revealed in six weeks

After 14 years of campaigning for public finance transparency, Poland's central contracts register is now operational. Within just six weeks of going live, it has revealed how 21 billion zloty in public funds were spent. Katarzyna Batko-Tołuć says the long fight for its introduction was worthwhile.
