Zelensky: Elections during the war would 'tear Ukraine apart'

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky flatly rejected calls for wartime elections, warning they would "tear Ukraine apart like a tsunami." He said organising a free, legitimate and democratic vote — including front-line soldiers and citizens abroad — is currently impossible. The call for elections came from former Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, who was removed from government in July.
