Zelenskyy warns elections during wartime could cause deep divisions in Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed that Western allies pressured Ukraine to hold elections in the previous year. He warned that holding a vote during wartime could cause deep political and social divisions in the country. Zelenskyy said he is open to discussions if partners present conditions guaranteeing a safe, lawful and democratic election process.
