Crunchyroll ends physical media sales — Sony stands firm despite fan outrage

Sony announced that Crunchyroll will stop selling physical copies of anime — Blu-rays and DVDs. One month after the initial announcement, and despite intense fan backlash, Sony has not reversed the decision. For many collectors and anime fans, it means losing the ability to buy physical editions of their favourite series.
