Putin threatens Ukraine with destruction ahead of Duma elections

Vladimir Putin is rallying state apparatus ahead of upcoming Duma elections and has rejected Western peace proposals. He described attacks on civilian infrastructure in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities as "effective" and "timely." Putin signalled he would sooner destroy Ukraine than make concessions, while also warning Russians of further casualties ahead.
