López becomes three-division world champion by outpointing Romero in Las Vegas

Teófimo López claimed the WBA welterweight title with a 12-round majority decision over Rolando "Rolly" Romero at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, becoming a three-division world champion. Two judges scored the fight 115-113 and 116-112 for López, while the third had it even at 114-114. López previously held belts at 135 lb and 140 lb. Romero, making the first defence of the title he won against Ryan Garcia, branded the result a "robbery."
