Świątek out in Cincinnati semis but earns over $1 million in prize money

Iga Świątek failed to defend her Cincinnati title, losing a three-set semifinal to Jessica Pegula. Despite the defeat, the Polish star will collect a substantial prize cheque for reaching the last four. Pegula advances to the final of the WTA event.
