From Sunday, Polish civil registry offices to transcribe same-sex marriages from abroad

From Sunday, every civil registry office in Poland is required to transcribe foreign same-sex marriage certificates into Polish records. The change stems from new regulations on civil status document templates, introduced following rulings by the Court of Justice of the EU and Poland's Supreme Administrative Court. While a landmark administrative shift, it does not constitute legalisation of same-sex marriage in Poland.
