Hate-streaming now a crime in Poland — up to 5 years in prison from 23 August

From Sunday 23 August, Poland's amended criminal code makes hate-streaming a criminal offence. Sharing content depicting violence or degrading treatment carries up to 3 years in prison, rising to 5 years when a child is involved. The legislative push was accelerated by Polsat News's autumn 2024 campaign "No to Pathological Celebrities."
