Poland women nearly dropped a set to Hungary at the European volleyball championship
Poland's women's national volleyball team opened the European Championship against Hungary and nearly conceded a set to the lower-ranked opponents. Attacker Magdalena Jurczyk admitted the team underestimated their rivals: "We thought the match would win itself, that the opponents wouldn't start fighting." Poland ultimately won the match, but their performance raised concerns ahead of the rest of the tournament.
