TikTok to pay $400 million settlement over child privacy violations

TikTok and its parent company ByteDance will pay $400 million in one of the largest child privacy settlements in US history. The deal stems from a 2024 lawsuit alleging the platforms collected vast amounts of data on millions of users under the age of 13.
