Fastest known star orbits Milky Way's black hole at 15,500 miles per second

Astronomers have identified a star travelling at approximately 15,500 miles per second — the fastest planet or star ever observed by science. Its scientific significance lies above all in how close it orbits the supermassive black hole at the centre of the Milky Way.
