Russian commanders punish soldiers with death — shot in the back or sent on suicidal assaults

Russian commanders on the front in Ukraine are reportedly eliminating "troublesome" soldiers by sending them on doomed assault missions or shooting them in the back. Any sign of insubordination — answering back, asking questions, ignoring an order — can serve as a pretext. The practice is compared to tactics used by genocidal regimes such as Rwanda.
