Uber fined €825 million for GDPR violations in Europe
The Dutch data protection authority has fined Uber €824.9 million for violating the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The fine relates to the company automatically deactivating drivers' accounts in Europe without a proper legal basis. It is among the largest GDPR fines ever imposed.
