Czech harvest worst in 15 years — drought and frost cost farmers over 3.5 billion zloty
This year's harvest in the Czech Republic will be the worst in 15 years, according to Jan Doleżal, head of the Czech Agricultural Chamber. Losses for the agricultural sector are estimated at 20 billion Czech crowns (over 3.5 billion Polish zloty), caused by drought and spring frosts. The Czech government has pledged financial support for affected farmers.
