South Korea sends first container ship through Arctic route to Europe

The South Korean container ship PanStar Acro has set sail for Europe via the Arctic, the first such vessel from South Korea to test the route. The passage has become accessible due to melting sea ice and the voyage is intended to assess its commercial viability. A successful trial could open the Arctic route as a regular shipping alternative.
