Father abandons tired 7-year-old son on Mount Fuji to continue climbing
A man left his seven-year-old son alone on a bench near the sixth station of the Fujinomiya trail on Mount Fuji, at an altitude of over 2,000 metres, after the boy said he was tired. The father left him with snacks and a soft drink and continued climbing. A mountain worker found the child; police reprimanded the father.
