Denmark may deny refugee status to Ukrainians from less affected regions
The Danish government is preparing legislation that would end the automatic refugee status for Ukrainians from regions less affected by the war. Under the proposed rules, such individuals would need to prove individual risk rather than benefit from blanket protection. Ukrainians receiving social benefits could also be required to work.
